Steelhead 70.3
2009 marks the 4th year of Smith Sports being represented at the Steelhead 70.3 in Benton Harbor, MI. If you are looking for a long course triathlon in the Midwest, mark this event on your calendar for 2010. The Lake Michigan swim is along the gorgeous beach in Benton Harbor, the bike course takes you through the rolling hills in the surrounding counties and the run is a 2-loop course around the Whirlpool Headquarters finishing back at the beach. On August 1st seven Smith Sports athletes toed the start line - Cal DeKuiper, Paul Huyser, Jim Jones, Leann Kuebelbeck, Dave Molnar, Ali Smith and Poncho Smith. Some were newbies and some were veterans, but all hit their goals whether it was to finish the race or set a new PR. Congrats to all racers!
